Static URLs are your own addresses that do not belong to a product, category, CMS page or manufacturer, for example landing pages. The module writes them to the file sitemap-static.xml.
Static URLs are switched off by default. Under Extensions > Modules > XML Sitemap Generator > Settings, in the group Static URLs, enable Enable Static URLs. Without this switch sitemap-static.xml is not created, even if entries exist.
The static sitemap is written only if at least one active entry exists. It is language-independent, there is a single file, and the
-toption has no influence on it.
In the OXID admin you find the list under Sitemap > Static URLs. It shows the active status, URL, Last Modified, Change Freq., Priority and Sort. Use Add New URL to create an entry. The edit form has the following fields:
| Field | Required | Effect in the sitemap |
|---|---|---|
| URL | Yes | Written unchanged as loc, so enter the full address including https:// |
| Last Modified | No | Date for lastmod. Empty: the date of the generation |
| Change Freq. | No | always, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or never. Empty: monthly |
| Priority | No | Value from 0.0 to 1.0, values outside are clamped to this range. Empty: 0.5 |
| Sort | No | A lower number comes first. With equal values, entries are sorted by URL |
| Active | No | Only active entries go into the sitemap |
The help text of the priority field says "leave empty = not specified in sitemap". In fact the module writes the value
0.5for an empty field, becausepriorityis output for every URL.
An entry without a URL is discarded on save.
The entries are stored in the table mmd_sitemap_static_urls. It is created when the module is activated and kept on deactivation.
