Live Demo: Try this and other plugins live — no installation, no risk: demo.markus-michalski.net
| Requirement | Version | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Shopware | ~6.7.0 | Composer package mmd/sw67-facebook-pixel, plugin class MmdFacebookPixel |
| PHP | 8.2 or higher | |
| Message consumer | running permanently | Only needed for the Conversions API, see below |
| Outbound connection | graph.facebook.com |
Only needed for the Conversions API and the connection test |
| MmdKlaroConsent | optional | Only for the Klaro integration, see Consent and cookies |
1. Add the private repository
{
"repositories": [
{
"type": "composer",
"url": "https://packeton.markus-michalski.net"
}
]
}
Note: The repository credentials are provided after you purchase a license.
2. Install the plugin
composer require mmd/sw67-facebook-pixel
3. Activate the plugin
bin/console plugin:refresh
bin/console plugin:install --activate MmdFacebookPixel
bin/console cache:clear
Recommendation: Prefer the Shopware Store or Composer, which make updates easier.
The plugin is still inactive after activation, because the master switch Enable Tracking is off by default.
All settings are described on the Configuration page.
Privacy: Without further settings the plugin loads the pixel on the very first page view, even without consent. Enable the cookie consent check or the Klaro integration before you go live.
Server-side Conversions API events are put into the Shopware message queue and processed by a consumer. Without a running consumer, no server-side event leaves your server.
bin/console messenger:consume async
For production, set up a supervisor or systemd service for it. See the Shopware documentation on the message queue for details.
composer update mmd/sw67-facebook-pixel
bin/console cache:clear
When you uninstall via the extension manager, you can choose whether to keep the plugin's data.
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Keep data | Nothing is deleted. The configuration and the Klaro service stay in place. |
| Do not keep data | All MmdFacebookPixel.config.* settings are deleted from the system_config table. If the Klaro service facebook-pixel exists, it is removed together with its translations. |
The plugin does not create any database tables of its own.
