To let users change their consent decision at any time, the storefront needs a way to reopen the Klaro dialog. There are two combinable ways to do that.
The plugin automatically adds a "Cookie Settings" link to the footer service menu whenever Klaro is active for the sales channel. Clicking it reopens the consent dialog. No configuration is required. The label comes from the snippet mmd-klaro.cookieSettings.
The setting Automatically add Cookie Settings link to footer service menu (default: on) hides the automatic link. This is useful when you place your own link elsewhere (see below) to avoid a duplicate entry.
A cookie settings link can also be placed freely in your own navigation: in a footer category, the main navigation, a "Legal" column or a text element of a Shopping Experience. No template override is required.
Steps:
#mmd-klaro-cookie-settings, e.g. https://your-shop.tld/#mmd-klaro-cookie-settings.The link only works in sales channels where Klaro is active. If Klaro is inactive, the link simply navigates to the given URL without opening the dialog.
Handy for repurposing an old link left over from Shopware's native cookie consent (URL ending in
/cookie/offcanvas) instead of deleting it.
When Klaro is active for a sales channel, the plugin suppresses Shopware's native cookie notice in that sales channel. The template blocks the plugin overrides for this are listed on the Technical page.
