You find the settings in the Admin Panel under Manage > Plugins > Priority Icons, in the configuration of the plugin instance.
| Setting | Key | Default | Effect |

On | Switches the plugin on or off globally. When off, nothing is injected into the pages. |

| High Color | color_high |

| Normal Color | color_normal |

Use 3 or 6 digit hex values with a leading hash for the color fields, for example #dc3545 or #f00 (at most 7 characters). An empty value, or a value that does not consist of # and 3 to 6 hex digits, is ignored and the default applies. Values with 4 or 5 digits are accepted by the plugin, but they are not valid CSS colors and have no effect.
The configuration form additionally shows the fields Show Tooltips and Icon Style (Filled Circle, Badge with Text, Simple Dot). These two fields have no effect in the plugin: the code never reads them. Tooltips are always active, and icons always appear as a filled circle.
| Priority | Color | Hex | Rendering |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emergency / Notfall | Red | #dc3545 |
Circle with pulsing glow |
| High / Hoch | Orange | #fd7e14 |
Static circle |
| Normal | Yellow | #ffc107 |
Static circle |
| Low / Niedrig | Green | #28a745 |

The color also tints the table cell slightly: the cell gets a background made from the priority color (12 % color, the rest white).
The plugin injects its stylesheet inline and defines CSS variables on :root there. You can override them with your own CSS that is loaded after the plugin stylesheet. The plugin configuration has no field for this.
:root {
--priority-icon-size: 16px;
--priority-icon-spacing: 0.375rem;
--priority-tooltip-bg: #212529;
--priority-tooltip-color: #fff;
--priority-transition-duration: 150ms;
}
| Variable | Default |
|---|---|
--priority-icon-size |
12px |
--priority-icon-spacing |
0.375rem |
--priority-tooltip-bg |
#212529 (#f8f9fa in dark mode) |
--priority-tooltip-color |
#fff (#212529 in dark mode) |
--priority-transition-duration |
150ms |
The variables
--priority-emergency,--priority-high,--priority-normaland--priority-lowdo not change the icon colors, because the color from the plugin configuration is set directly on the icon. Change colors in the plugin settings instead. The pulse of the Emergency icon keeps using the default red.
The plugin only recognizes these names: Emergency, High, Normal, Low and the German names Notfall, Hoch, Niedrig. For other names you have to extend the $priorityMap list in class.PriorityIconsPlugin.php. That change is lost on a plugin update, and the color of such entries cannot be set in the configuration.
