The plugin needs neither Composer nor a change to .htaccess or the web server configuration. It does not load an external JavaScript file but outputs the script inline.
Option 1: ZIP
tab-swap folder to include/plugins/ in your osTicket directory.Option 2: Git clone
cd /path/to/osticket/include/plugins
git clone https://github.com/markus-michalski/osticket-tab-swap.git tab-swap
In both cases the target path is include/plugins/tab-swap/, with plugin.php, class.TabSwapPlugin.php and config.php directly inside.
On enabling, the plugin creates an instance named after the plugin if needed (singleton, note Auto-created singleton instance) and stores the installed version. The Enable Tab Swap option is on by default. More settings are described under Configuration.
The swap appears when an agent reloads a ticket view. A browser tab that is already open shows the old state until it is reloaded.
Replace the folder include/plugins/tab-swap/ with the new version. On the next start the plugin compares the stored installed_version with the version in plugin.php and updates the stored value. No migrations or file copies are needed.
include/plugins/tab-swap/.After deactivation, the ticket view shows the default osTicket tab order again.
