The repository credentials are provided after the license purchase.
2. Install the plugin
composer require mmd/sw67-empty-category
3. Activate the plugin
bin/console plugin:refresh
bin/console plugin:install --activate MmdEmptyCategory
bin/console cache:clear
custom/plugins/MmdEmptyCategory.bin/console plugin:refresh
bin/console plugin:install --activate MmdEmptyCategory
bin/console cache:clear
The plugin creates a custom field set with the technical name mmd_empty_category and assigns it to the category entity. In the Admin the set is called Empty Category, and its fields appear in the Custom Fields section of every category. The plugin has no settings page of its own under Extensions > My Extensions. Setup happens per category, see Configuration.
The plugin's styles are part of the storefront theme. After installation and activation, Shopware recompiles the theme. If the styles are missing, see Troubleshooting.
On update the plugin only adds custom fields that are still missing from the existing set. Existing field definitions and the content of your categories stay unchanged. Clear the cache after the update.
When uninstalling, you choose in the Admin whether the plugin data is kept.
| Choice | Result |
|---|---|
| Keep data | The custom field set mmd_empty_category remains |
| Do not keep data | The plugin deletes the custom field set mmd_empty_category |
The uninstall code does not touch the texts and images you stored on categories. The plugin sets up no cron jobs and no database tables of its own.
